  • Guillotine pattern

A cutting plan that contains at least one guillotinable cut (or guillotine cut). It is the one in which there is no interruption, that is to say, which goes from one side of the sheet to the opposite side of the sheet. In the first example below, there are two options like this for the initial cut – one horizontal and the other vertical, always generating two new rectangles, each one with at least one guillotinable cut. The other example shows a situation in which the guillotinable cut does not occur, as all the lines are interrupted. This type of arrangement of parts can eventually generate a better material yield, however in this case, it will have to be cut with the same tools indicated for the cutting of irregular parts. The cutting plan will have to be interrupted to use cutters or guillotines.
